Welcome to the

      BANAT-JA ROMANIA was founded in 1992. It is a cultural group with branches established 
across Romania.

      In 1995, BANAT-JA "Friends of the Mountains" in Timisoara was founded. A non-governmental
and not-for-profit organization, its mission is to promote environmental education and encourage 
nature protection measures in the Banat region of Romania.

      The main principles pursued throughout all our activities are consideration for nature and the 
environment, two topics which today are so frequently in danger by hostile human intervention.
