I guess I wanted to be a mountain biker when I was a kid. Only, there were no mountain bikes. Thank you, to the people who started this. I know some of the names, but I would surely miss someone and besides, everyone who rides a mountain bike opens a window to someone who does not. I am going to ride harder and faster than I ever have on dirt. People have died on some of the trails I will be riding. I may break 50 MPH on the downhills at Deer Valley Ski Resort, Utah. I may become a better rider just from experiencing the “roots of mountain biking” trails around Durango, Colorado. I may get hurt on the trails I will be riding, for I have never seen them before. I know I will have more fun than I ever have on a bike. This is why I am going…
