Dean & Iris Reily
Over Hill & Over Dale
Dean was an engineer and Iris was an accountant. Fourteen years ago they retired and took to the road pulling a 21 foot travel trailer behind a 5.7 liter sedan. They traveled continental USA, and Canada's provinces and territories. Newfoundland was explored by car with bed and breakfast accommodations. They visited each state, province and territory for two to six weeks driving over 200,000 miles in the process. Their longest trip took 10 months and the shortest 6 months. Typically they traveled a couple of hundred miles parked the trailer and then toured the surrounds for several days. In particular, they enjoyed the museums of art, nature and history as well as the beauty of the country side and its people. They also spent 38 days touring England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland by car mostly staying in bed and breakfast accommodations. They have traveled some in Western Europe and in the countries on the Asian Pacific Rim. They expect the future to include more travel in Europe. In recent years, they seasonally migrate between Pennsylvania and Florida.
