Once again I get to work on one of my favorite places - a place where I can share myself with you I am happy to welcome you here to Skippingthestones.
I live in Edgewood, NM which is part of the East Mountains, outside Albuquerque.
My home companions currently are Rose, my 13 year old Shih Tzu; Scooter, 2 year old Dachsund, Sufia, 2 year old rescued Shih Tzu and our guardian, River, not quite two, Anatolian Shepherd. Plus, our grey tabbies, Butch and Sundance.
My Midnight, Sarah and Ruger made there transitions to Rainbow Bridge but I know they are still around. I am also missing my beautiful horse, Khan and my canary, Petey who is also at the Bridge.
Khan is ten years old and he is a "sooty buckskin" whom I adopted from a local area rescue. I was taken in by my love for the horse and a lifetime of loving horses. I did have the best relationship with my my dream-come-true, owning a horse. Soon I will have a mule for riding and as a family companion. Her name is Millie and she is a retired racer.
I am currently beginning to look forward to working in the plans for a new donkey rescue!!! I have also added to the Kabyn Kritters, 9 chicks about five more coming on May 5th. We built the coop and are starting on the shelter for Millie, the mule who is coming from Corrales in a few weeks, plus two Nubian goats, Sugar and Spice. Come on out to
Facebook for current photos and fun.

This site has gone through major changes over the last 15 years and some of the links may not work. Please be patient. I have limited time resources to work on this and do my best. The process of redoing the site is part of "letting go" of the past; things I have processed and shared for many a number of years. <
The poetry that is here will stay; it is part of me; I've been writing poetry for years and hope you find something you like here.
Inasmuch as this page was originally put together for victims of Domestic Abuse, I am including here a poem dedicated to the many women who have suffered from domestic abuse, as well as their children.
My mom was the original "Mary".
Since I opened this page, all of the fledglings have left the nest. Chaos and chatter are a thing of the past. Life as I knew it, ended in divorce. I am free to be. It is so wonderful to learn the Art of Being Me.
My life has changed so dramatically. In 2001, I divorced after 17 years of marriad. In 2004, I battled colon cancer and am here as a testament to The Lord's promise to be there if you ask and believe He will answer. .... we can live our dreams in a place that we love.
I am happy in my Church Community which is Christ Unity at the Edge of the Woods here in Edgewood. I also volunteer for bigger events at Wild Life West Nature Park which is a haven for indigenous wildlife from NM. Our Sufi Community is wonderful here in NM and I am fortunate and blessed to be able to lead Dance there when asked at our monthly Dance meetings.
Hope that tintillates you and bring you back to see what I am doing. I am a Beloved of the One God and walk my spiritual path with Trust.
My wonderful grandson who has a "baby" page on this site was just 13 (oh my) in February. And I am blessed to be able to fill my life with some of the best friends in the world.
My beautiful daughter Danielle is still living in our hometown,Secaucus. NJ and I have permanent quarters there too but she is hoping to make the move to the Southwest (God willing)soon. Yay!!!!
