As you make your way around the back of the Guild Theatre, you are impressed by the beautiful frontage of Edwardian architecture, and rekindle images of marble stairs and luxurious, lavish colours in velvet drapes. Then realise that you are in darkness, for you have passed through the gateway. The gateway that is the barrier between reality and the fantasy which is theatre. Do you dare ask, who I am??

I am Rouche, this rather impressive shell of a theatre is my home. Yes, a shell, for that is what it feels like when the show is over. If you take an audience out of a theatre,,, Poof!! No more theatre, just a rather ridiculously decorated shell. Do you want to see and know me??
