Welcome to the Dubai Singers Home Page

This page will constantly be updated, so please come and visit us frequently. Just to give you a bit of background information, the Singers is an amateur group of people who enjoy getting together to sing. Originally known as the Dubai-Sharjah Singers, we recently celebrated our Silver Anniversary, so we've been around a long time.... in fact, we've since been told that the Singers have been around a lot longer than the 25 years we gave ourselves credit for.

Our calendar of events start in September each year usually with a social evening.

We present four shows per year which, in general, follow this pattern: -

Autumn - A choral concert usually

Christmas - Carol concerts at various venues

Spring - Fully staged musical preferably

Pre-Summer - Serious concert usually

No auditions are normally required with the exception of principal parts. I have included a few photographs taken at a rehearsal for the opera 'Rigoletto' as well as photographs of the 1997 Christmas Carol Concert and a Fun Drive that we had in January this year. I will try and put the newsletters online, but have to find a way to convert them to pdf easily. I do not have Acrobat.
