Who I am:


My name is Sunny Jo, aka Sonja (meaning "wisdom") Sun Johnsen, aka Park Young-Joo, aka Jung Ahn-Sun, aka Pangool, aka Midnight Sun. I am KOREAN - NORWEGIAN - CANADIAN, + KAD, and proud of it!

Where I live:

I was born in S-Korea Dec. 6th 1975 (registered official b-date: Oct. 8th 1975), adopted to Stavanger, Norway in 1977, lived in Norway, Denmark, Malta + some other places, before moving to Greater Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1998. I lived there until 2002, and this became my home in heart and mind. I currently reside in the Stockholm area, Sweden, together with my 2 cats, a tabby and white male named "Houdini" and a black female named "Morticia".

What I do:

I am a recent graduate from Simon Fraser University , holding a B.A. in communciation and a minor in sociology.

In 2000 I succeded in locating my biological relatives in Korea, after over 20 years of separation. In July 2001 was the first time that all 3 siblings, big brother Mark D. Rodgers (Park In-Kwon), oldest sister Sunny Jo (Park Young-Joo), and little sister Park Hyo-Jung met.

My interest:

I have a wide variety of interests, I like to stay involved in the KAD (Korean Adoptee) community, I often travel/backpack domesticly and abroad, since I am a culture freak I am also a taphophilia, I read and write a lot and I am currently working on writing a memoir about my life as a KAD, I like pets/animals so I used to volunteer Royal City Humane Society's cat shelter, as a student I was a member of Vancouver Hillel , the Jewish Students' association at SFU, a part of the international association Hillel, and I enjoy working with computers, e.g. webdesign.

One of my "favourite" themes in history, is the Holocaust. I have also been a board member in several political organizations, interest groups etc.
