The CARTOON/ FANTASY ORGANIZATION meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the home of Gustav Baron. The house is a light mint-green bungalow, next to a mini-mall's parking lot on the west side of Glenoaks Blvd. There is plenty of parking in the mini-mall's lot and at curbside. Non-members must pay $2.00 at the door.

The C/FO is a serious animation study group, not a childrens' cartoon-watching 'club. The C/FO specializes in the study of Japanese animation. This has also led us, to a large extent, into the study of Japanese popular culture and its differences from American popular culture.

It should be noted that animation is used in Japan as a medium for popular cinema for all ages, not just for children; and that Japanese social standards are more relaxed than American social standards regarding physical modesty. This results in such occurrences as brief nude shower scenes and what would be considered mildly risqué humor in childrens' TV cartoons. Guests should be aware that the animation which we watch is occasionally not suitable for children by American standards.
