Welcome to Okinawa,
Okinawa was once known as 'Ryukyu' or 'Loochoo' and has a long history of Independence before it became a part of Japan 130 years ago.
'Champru' is an Okinawan word meaning a mix or blend of ingredients and it can refer to many things. 'Tofu Champru' is a delicious stir fry dish and 'Champloose' is the name of one of Okinawa's most well known bands whose music mixes up traditional Okinawan melodies with western influences.
This site is a look at a mix of things Okinawan -a 'Ryukyu Champru'. Come in and take a look at Okinawa from my perspective or as they say in Ryukyuan 'imi sore!'
