"GOD'S IN HIS HEAVEN, ALL'S RIGHT WITH THE WORLD"
Second Impact has occurred on Earth, resulting in massive destruction throughout the globe. Half the population was decimated instantly but that isn't the end of our problems. In the year 2015, mysterious creatures called ANGELS are sent to Earth to search for ADAM, but causes chaos and panic in the process. Out of fear, humans created the secret organization NERV who are in charge of building and commanding the bio-mechanical weapons called EVA Units, which are designed to destroy these ANGELS. Piloted only by 15 year olds, the story of our future begins. Journey through the world of Evangelion and look at life through the eyes of the key characters: Shinji, Rei, Asuka, Touji, Kensuke, Dr. Akagi, Misato, Gendo, Kaji, Fuyutsuki and the EVA operators. The series consists of 26 episodes, but the last two episodes weren't up to usual standards. So Anno Hideaki had decided to redo them just for us! The first movie: Evangelion: Death and Rebirth, is basically a summary of the first 24 episodes. However it does boast a better ending and superior animation. The second movie: The End of Evangelion, is simply stunning and wonderfully made. It's a must see. The ending is so shocking and the story is absolutely breathtaking, while the animation and battle scenes are simply beautiful and stunning. I would recommend this movie to all Evangelion Fans.
