Amtgard: Total War
Amtgard: Total War is an empire building version of the popular game we all know and love called Amtgard. This game is built to inspire a feudal style of game play into Amtgard, complete with battles, building, and intrigue. Magistrates reign over their Fiefdom with their Vassals, only to deal with their fellow magistrates on the battlefield, watch their peasants rise up, or even be betrayed by their followers.
Currently, Amtgard: Total War is being play-tested in the Barony of Gryphon's Perch in the Kingdom of the Rising Winds. There are nine Magistrates that have been appointed by Jarl Onyx, and they have accepted their duties and claimed their lands. Each Magistrate has begun play holding 6 of the 65 territories. One of the remaining territories is the Capitol of the Barony, held by Baron Onyx. Eight others are held by rebel factions and monsters intent on holding what they believe is theirs. Also, rebellious vassals or courageous souls may try and stake their claim as a new magistrate in several weeks.

The site is up and running. We're planning on having the first real battles this Sunday the first. I urge all playing magistrates to be in attendance. If you know you cannot make it, make *SURE* you designate a vassal and have him/her take your spot since we'll be handing out the initial attack cards and immediately go into the first two attacks of the game. If you fail to show or have a proxy, I will draw your cards for you but if you have one of the cards that is to be used on Sunday, then you will forfeit the attack.
Also, I'm wanting lots of feedback from people. In fact, if you've read over the material, I'd love for you to send me an email with your five favorite things about the game and your five least favorite things about the game. Feel free to send these emails publicly over the GP List as well, as I'm hoping to use the GP List as our primary discussion forum. I'll take these emails into account as we revise the game throughout the beta test.
