WELCOME TO MODEL THEME PARK ENTHUSIASTS!
This is a place where hobbists can get together and share ideas, tips, and images of their model theme park. Although scale is not an issue, I have chosen to use HO Scale for my theme park.

HOW THE IDEA OF A MODEL THEME PARK STARTED:
During Christmas time in 2004, my wife mentioned to me about starting a hobbie because my family had a hard time shopping for me. As I frequent Disneyland quite a bit, I noticed they were selling an electric HO Scale model train of the Walt Disney World Railroad.
I remembered the train sets I used to have as a child, but also the disappointment of never actually having a proper layout. My wife bought me that train set for Christmas, and I started to think of how I was going to build my layout.
Would any layout do for my new Disney World Railroad? Of course not! This sent me searching for HO scale amusement park rides. During my search, I came across many websites of working model roller coasters and I began to look into building the Matternhorn at Disneyland to include in my layout.
I then began my search for track layouts and dimensions of the Matternhorn, and found some information to keep the idea going. What I didn't find was enough to begin modeling my mountain. This is where the idea for a site contahere the idea for a site containing this type of information came from.
