So what's new?
16th March 2000 The NBL playoffs are set to start next week, with my fav team, the West
Sydney Razorbacks just scrapping in, thanks to other results from the
round. They will play Game 1 at home next week against the tough Perth
Wildcats.
Last night the West Sydney Razorbacks,
fuelled by a 19 point fourth quater by captain Derek Rucker, defeated the
Perth Wildcats 91-80 at EG Whitlam centre in Liverpool.
After trailing
by as much as 16 points, the Razors outscored the Wildcats 39-17 in the
final quarter. Rucker, who scored 19 in the last, finished with a game
high of 29 points (5 assists), which included 6 from 8 trademark three
point bombs.
Simon (The landlord) Dwight also had a big fourth quarter
scoring 12 points in the final period, to finish with 21 points and 9
rebounds. (playing on 5 personal fouls the whole 4th quarter!)
