I'm sorry once again for the lack of updates. My Internet Service Provider was down yet again and then my modem died on me. I got a new modem ^_^ I'm keeping my ISP for now. If there's another downtime longer than 2 days I'm switching because it is extremely annoying. I'll be updating daily (hopefully) from now on.
And today I have found no news concerning pokemon :(
An Acme supermarket merchandise manager is under arrest on charges that he diverted large shipments of Pokemon trading cards worth more than $130,000 and resold them, police said today. Paul Ritchey, 44, of Fairway Terrace in Warrington, was arraigned yesterday on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and theft by deception, said Falls police Lt. Neil Harkins. Harkins said the charges against Ritchey emerged in April when store officials discovered unexplained shipments and disappearances of Pokemon trading cards. Store records show that between Oct. 4, 1999, and Dec. 30, 1999, the store received shipments of Pokemon cards totaling $133,559.51, but only sold $852.85 in cards for the same time period, according to an arrest affidavit.
Nintendo of America Inc. announced today a strategic equity investment in Canada-based game developer Silicon Knights. Nintendo® has eyed the company, comprised of highly experienced film industry and video game artists, as one of the industry's emerging companies. The partnership, which takes place immediately, makes Silicon Knights a long-term, exclusive Nintendo developer. Silicon Knights has become known for its games of 'realism,' and already has several successful PC and console game titles in its portfolio. The first title yielded from the Nintendo partnership is Eternal Darkness; an N64 title slated to launch at the end of October.

Zero's will be distributing the "Team Rocket" trading cards, with the purchase of every Kids Meal. The Company has negotiated with the distributor to run promotions not only with the Pokemon cards, but also other premiums with Nascar, Star Wars, professional sports, etc., that will be distributed through the sale of the Zero's Kids Meals.
Also in the news, the milk council has cut a deal with Pikachu! It will now appear in milk ads. Pikachu will have a milk mustache along with the phrase: "Want to grow? Drinking milk helps your bones grow so you can evolve to the next level."
The company behind Pokemon products in Europe said trade for the past three months is what it had predicted for the whole year. US firm Topps believes Pokemon product sales in Europe could be about $70 million (Ł43 million) in the first quarter, which ends next month. Less than a month ago, Topps had estimated Pokemon sales of between $60 million and $80 million for the entire fiscal year 2001. "Obviously, with a property of this nature, it is not possible to accurately predict the level of revenues it will generate or its lifespan," said chairman Arthur Shorin. "What we do know, is that our Pokemon products - sticker/album collections, trading cards, lollipops and container candies - are presently selling extremely well in the UK".
On another note, I have recently found out that the 2nd pokemon movie sound track will begin being recorded soon.
Pichu, the new Pokemon in Gold & Silver seems ready to dethrone it's evolution, Pikachu, as the cutest Pokemon in Pokedom. In Japan, Pichu plush toys are already available in both mini and full sizes, and we must admit that compared to Pikachu, Pichu is way ahead in the cute-ness department. You can expect Pichu toys to start flying off the shelves on July, 2000, when the third Pokemon movie "Emperor Of The Crystal Tower" is screened in Japan. This is because Pichu will be making its debut beside Pikachu in the short "Pokemon Fantasy Section" that's screened before the movie. In part one, "Pikachu's Summer Vacation" we were introduced to #183-Marril and #209-Bulu, now in part three, "Pichu And Pikachu" the whole world will get to see #172-Pichu, and to decide if it is indeed cuter that Pikachu.
