1/5/04: a couple of new ifOb mp3s we recorded in november got added. look at the bottom. i think we have a few more songs left unrecorded. maybe we'll get around to recording them if i can stop being angry
11/2/03: jack and jim and i recorded this yesterday. jim and i are playing drums and jack played guitar. UNTITLED
oh yeah, invisible francis ceased to exist in late may.
5/11/03: i was up late last night and got about no sleep at all. so im about this tired: 1000000. if you'd really like to, you can download an mp3 of me playing Jesus Shootin' Heroin by the Flaming Lips. I recorded it a few weeks ago and i think i did a nice job on it, especially the production (if you disagree, bite me. see if you can do better with a beat up old mike and a half-broken sound card). its a combination of several vocal and guitar takes, but i dont think you can tell for most of it (except the end, but thats intentional). i'm a regular george martin, iam.
better yet, since i'm singing on it, don't download it. you'd probably live a more fulfilling life having never heard me sing. so its probably better if you dont hear it. in fact, it will take a year off your life if you listen to it. so dont.
4/30/03: tomorrow is bens birthday. i forgot to get him a present so i guess ill buy him a cheeseburger or soemthing today and give it to him tomorrow morning. it's great that he's turning 18, because now he can buy me fags, even though i don't smoke. it's the thought, and the ability, that counts, after all. Here's a picture of my new band, Fucking Space Laser:
i'm on the far right, kyle is in the middle.
All right, I'm putting the page up again. Geocities decided to take away all my space so i had to find a new host. Which I have. And since I'm lazy, I'll just be putting up some mp3's and other various things tonight. I'll add the other pages later when Idont have a paper to write.
Band
I'm in a band, Invisible Francis and the ORT Brigade. Most of our songs are about robots and video games.
This is the band:
ME - Bass
Paul - Lead Vocal instrument/ occasional guitar
Jack - Lead guitar
Jim - Drums (he graduated from high school already and he has a truck!.)
Here's a bunch of old pics of us. Most of them were taken from our first show, and they're all over a year and a half old. The pic of Jim is from his old band, Litterature, who played with us that night.

OLD mp3s
The majority of these were recorded about 2-3 years ago. They all lack drums and, for the most part, talent. We didnt really know how to play the songs or how to record stuff. They were recorded on my tascam 4 track that I got for christmas in the 9th grade. Ithink it was actually that 4 track that started the band off. The first time Paul and Jack and I played together it was when paul came over to my house to record a song for his girlfriend. Awww. but now, since I'm rambling, I'll get to the mp3s
Cubist man- Probably our best song (not this version, just overall). We recorded it over spring break 2001 in my living room. The heinous distortion resulted from me not knowing what I was doing and turning up the volume controls all the way. It ended up sounding pretty good, I think.
Super gandorf- An old old song that we dont play anymore. At our first show, Herbie (of Valient Thorr) dressed up as Gandorf and came out to do the Gandorf voice part. Then he sang Just Like Heaven.
Chewbacca (what a wookie)- A cover of the Supernova song from the Clerks soundtrack. its really just Paul alone, he played guitar and then overdubbed vocals. We recorded it that first night before we recorded a song for his girlfriend. I put it up here because we still play it regularly and people like it. We play it now with the whole band and not just Paul.
the mello yello song- This was completly ad libbed by Paul as I played the chorus riff from Batman's Nipples on my bass. We recorded it the same day we recorded Super Gandorf and there's a funny story about what Paul and I did after practice that day, but I'll have to tell it later. Paul was angry because I always drank all his mello yello during practice. The bacon and peanutbutter sandwiches part is true, but not the pissed off mom part.
Batman's Nipples ("live" version / "normal" version )- there are three versions of this song that we've recorded. I traditionally play guitar on it and Jack plays bass. Live, at least. The "live" version was recorded live on one mic on July 4, 2001 in Pauls garage before I went to a party at Jack's house. the "normal" version was recorded by me at my uncles house in South Carolina during summer 2001. The main guitar is his acoustic with a bunch of effects on it, the electric is his old gibson SG. I recorded the bass part when we got back to Greenville the next day, and Paul recorded the vocals at our next practice. I'm not happy with the bass part or the vocals, so I'll probably redo them sooner or later.
Karma Police - A Radiohead song. Recorded October 13, 2001 right before we left to go to a show downtown, which ended up being Cursor's last show (sad, sad, what a great band.). I played guitar and Paul sang.We recorded this right after we recorded another (boring as balls) song for a different girlfriend of Paul's.
NEWER MP3s
Influenza - Paul and I recorded this one friday night. It's weird.
All of the following songs are from a practice sometime in early March. They feature Jim on drums.
Just Like Heaven (but more like Hell)- It was supposed to be the cure song, but i don't really know what happened.
The Five Year Old
Five year old fast version-we recorded these the day after thanksgiving 2003. aaron played drums.
