Welcome To Panama!
Brett & Kim |
Hola! I'm Kim and this is my husband Brett. This photo was taken in January 1997, during the Martin Luther King holiday weekend. Where are we? We are "somewhere" up in the mountains of Panama's interior. At the time this photo was taken, we were waiting on members of our Jeep and 4x4 convoy to repair a leaking gas tank!
Thus, Bienvenidos de Panama! Welcome to Panama, the subject of my personal homepage. Brett and I were married on August 16, 1994, and relocated to Panama on September 1, 1994, because of a job offer. Engaged in May 1994, we had planned a long engagement, but it was cut short when Brett (a C.P.A.--Certified Public Accountant) was asked by one of his clients, Kunkel-Wiese, Inc. (a designated U.S. Contractor for the U.S. Military and Panama Canal Commission) to come aboard as their Chief Financial Officer. So, here we are!
Actually, there we were because we moved back to the United States exactly three years later on September 1, 1997. Thus, I hope to use this webpage to share a few of my memories of Panama. Not until I returned to the States, did I come to realize how much I love Panama--the country, it's people, and way of life!
