Our Mission

The mission of the Richmond, Virginia, Chapter of SPEBSQSA, Inc., is to pursue musical excellence and good fellowship through learning, teaching, and singing the barbershop style of music; to entertain at a professional level; to develop and maintain a nationally competitive chorus; and to contribute to our community and country through charitable activities.


Richmond Chapter Profile

The performing chorus of the Richmond Chapter, The Virginians Barbershop Chorus, has been entertaining audiences in Central Virginia for over fifty years. Under Musical Director Mike Wallen, the Virginians won the Mid-Atlantic District Large Chorus Championship in 1999 and represented the District in chorus competition at the 2000 International Convention in Kansas City.
