Detroit native, Steve Blackwood, broke into the New York music scene with his band “Business Of Blues” sharing the bill with the likes of Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. As an actor, STEVE BLACKWOOD (”Bart” on NBC’s DAYS OF OUR LIVES) has been bringing his unique brand of comedy to the American public. Through recent developments, Steve has been able to bring forward his first love Music and a soulful/storytelling waywith a lyric that his countless fans can’t get enough of. In January, 2003 the Gold Label launched Steve’s CD “I Don’t Worry Bout A Thing” nationwide.

Compared to Mel Torme and Frank SInatra, Steve is his own man with a style that crosses between jazz and blues, whether singing a torch song or a swinging standard. Tracks include, Black Coffee, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and the title song written by Mose Allison, "I Don't Worry Bout A Thing."

Between his busy nightclub career (including recent dates at L.A.'s jazz Bakery, Catalina Bar and Grill, and San Francisco's, Pearl's) and series regular role in DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Steve landed a breakout role in the First-look feature "Ed Gein." now available for viewing at all Blockbuster outlets.

Mr. Blackwood is always happy to parlay his  DAYS OF OUR LIVES celebrity to help further the music career. Radio and television stations can count on him to be available for promotional interviews in conjunction with personal appearances.
