A Place For The Peaks Freak!
Hello, and welcome to my page! I'm assuming that since you managed to find me, you, too must be a fan of the late, lamented TV series, "Twin Peaks," which ran on ABC from 1990-91. It was created by the one and only David Lynch and partner Mark Frost.
It is hard to categorize this show, as it was unlike no other. Yes, you could say it was a soap opera, as the stories continued from week to week. But there was also comedy, such as the side thing about Nadine's obesssion with her drapery runners, and of course, mystery...back in 1990, everyone wanted to know "Who killed Laura Palmer?"
Twin Peaks, at first glance, seems like just another Small Town, USA. But take a closer look, and you will see that all is not as it seems! Teenaged Laura Palmer was every parent's dream...a straight-A student, homecoming queen, organizer of the town's Meals on Wheels program, and all-around good girl. But it is after Laura is mysteriously murdered that we learn that she led a double life...as a cocaine addict who supported her habit by working at One-Eyed Jack's, a brothel just across the Canadian border.
And that is where it all began. When FBI Speical Agent Dale Cooper comes to town to investigate the murder, nothing is ever the same again!
This site is still very much under construction right now, as I just moved in here, but please keep checking back...I plan to put some interesting stuff here! So sit back, have a slice of cherry pie and pour a cup of that "damned fine coffee"...and re-live this wonderful show!
