SUPERCONDUCTOR'S
PAGE
Welcome, everyone. This page is dedicated to my favorite band and one of the greatest bands ever, Rush. Since there are already so many Rush pages out there, I figured I'd make this more of a personal page, reflecting my own opinions about the band. Therefore, if you disagree with any of them, don't get all upset. If you wish, drop me a line and we can discuss our respective opinions. If you do write me, you can address me as Larry (not Superconductor).
Here's a brief history of my interest in Rush: I was first introduced to their music in July of 1994 when I purchased "Counterparts" on the suggestion of a friend. This album alone was enought to make them my favorite band, so naturally, I was eager to hear more of their albums. About four months later, the same friend suggested that I get "Hold Your Fire". The Result- not only was I blown away by the quality of the music, but for the first time, I realized Neil's lyrical genius. This album may have been what gave me a slight bias towards the mid-to-late eighties albums. In my opinion, these are the most solid all the way through. I can't name a song on any of them that isn't good. The progressive stuff of the seventies is also great, but it doesn't quite grab me in the same way. Today, I either own or am quite familiar with all of their albums. I saw two shows on the "Test for Echo" tour, both of which were mind-boggling.
Without further delay, I give you my page. Enjoy!
