Hello! My name is Matthew Meredith. My friends call me Scuba though and also the reference to Scooby Doo was also made. I live in an extremly rural area known as Highland Village, Nova Scotia. Up here in Nova Scotia it can get a tad bit cold in the winter, and one year we had a lot of snow!

I am in my third year of college at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. I'm taking Landscape Horticulture and really enjoy it. I enjoy collecting stamps from all over the world and it is one of my favorite pass times. I am also a volunteer firefighter with the Great Village and District Fire Brigade which keeps me busy in the community.

In Highland Village there is obviously nowhere to work unless you are a farmer. Since my family members are not they work in Debert, a close by area. Dad works at Home Hardware, he drives a picking car (he picks orders for stores), mom works at The Chronicle-Herald in Halifax and my little brother is just a pain in the butt!!!

As I said above, there are farms all around me, and my grandparents just so happen to own one of them. They have strived to produce the biggest and best hog farm in Highland Village. It may be the only one, but that's irrelevant. As a youngster I spent a lot of time at the farm and in the summers now I still help out some, mainly shovelling crap, but it pays.

Way out in the middle of nowhere, you would find Economy. This is home to many people and many wonders. One of these wonder's is Economy Falls.
