NORTH MUSKOKA PRO-AM
Fishing Tournament
OFFICIAL RULES

1. ELIGIBLE FISHING LOCATIONS
Fishing can only take place from the contestant's boat or the host dock.

2. GEAR RULES
All Fish must be caught using rod and reel.

3. SPORTSMANSHIP
Entrants must conduct themselves in a true sportsmanlike manner at all times.  NO EXCEPTIONS. Courtesy and ethics of the highest standard are the norm, not the exception. Remember that you not only represent yourselves, but all tournament anglers and competitive fishing.  Any rude or insulting behaviour will be subject to disqualifiation.

4. WEIGHING
All catches are to be officially measured and/or weighed.

5. POINTS AND SCORING
Based on the Wyoming Annual Two Fly Tournament format, points will be awarded as follows, based on fish length:

  Casting without catching a fish = 0 POINTS
  Less than 10" = 1 POINT
  10" to 12" = 5 POINTS
  13" to 16" = 10 POINTS
  17" to 20" = 15 POINTS
  20" to 23" = 20 POINTS
  24" or over = 25 POINTS

6. PENALTIES
There will be a one (1) point penalty for each dead fish weighed in.

7. CHUMMING
"Chumming" is prohibited.

8. PROVINCIAL LAWS

To be eligible, a fish must be a legal fish caught in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources fish and gaming regulations.

9. PROTESTS
All protests will be decided by the "On-Shore Pro-Am Committee". In the event that the protest directly affects a member of the "On-Shore Pro-Am Committee", that member will recuse himself.  Protest forms are available from the tournament director.

10. SEVERE WEATHER RULE

In the event of severe weather, the tournament may be suspended or cut short.  If the tournament is cut short, no weight for the day.  Remember, "If you see lightening, take shelter!".
