This area is dedicated to educating the public about Jeanettes. A Jeanette is a creature that is native to Bloomington, IN, Nashville, IN, and sometimes Kentucky. It's scientific name is Columbiahousis Correctubus. It is sometimes called "red", "red-a-rochie", "Cleo", or Ratemaster 2000". Some of these nicknames can be traced to the fiery mane it displays. "Ratemaster 2000" and "Cleo" come from unknown origins. Few people are lucky enough to spot a Jeanette in it's native environment, and those who do have the scars to prove it! Several people have claimed to have befriended a wild Jeanette, but upon investigation it was determined that it was actually a ring-tailed lemur. There are currently no known Jeanettes in captivity (the one that was on display at the San Diego Zoo died without being successfully bred). Zoologists hope that this will soon change. So much is yet to be understood about this curious creature. What does it eat in the wild? What are it's mating habits? Why does it wave it's arms frantically as if trying to communicate? Unless we are able to capture a Jeanette we may never know the answer to these and other questions. However, it should be noted that an untrained person SHOULD NEVER attempt to approach a wild Jeanette, and UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should they attempt to feed, pet, pick up, or capture one. Just ask the few people who have been unlucky enough to come face to face with the fierce creature. Of the five people who have had encounters with a Jeanette, the three that have awakened from their coma say it was one of the most frightening experiences in their life. One says that the physical and psychological therapy that was required after the encounter didn't put an end to the "cold sweats" that have awakened them every night since the incident. All of them agree that a Jeanette is not an animal to be messed with.
I had to redo my guestbook. Click here to view the old one.
