For the past twenty-three years my parents have constantly told me to work hard in school so that I can get a good job when I grow up. “Music is not going to help you in life. You have to study because you have to get good grades to get a good job,” they always said. Being that I have never been a model student, it’s been difficult to find a place of employment that would make me successful, while maintaining personal interest. Because of my laziness throughout grade school, I always figured that I would be stuck in some lackluster office job that I hated, much like Peter in the movie “Office Space” (Office Space). On the contrary, I have found a place where I can be successful, be myself, and not suffer because of stupid mistakes I have made in the past. I am referring to a place that embraces music and fashion. I am referring to a place called Hot Topic!
