Matt's Magic Page

In, Magic, you represent a powerful wizard battling for control of a plane of Dominia. The object of the game is to drive your opponent from the plane, leaving you with sole control. By pitting your deck against your opponents deck in an arcane duel, you determine who remains in Dominia, and the winner is awarded one random card from the loser's deck. The cards in your deck represent the lands, creatures, spells, and artifacts at your disposal; over time, your deck will develop strengths and weaknesses as it grows and shrinks with each new duel. Meanwhile, you will frequently encounter new mysteries as the multiverse of Dominia grows.

Short History
In August 1993, a small gaming company called Wizards of the Coast debuted Magic: The Gathering, the first trading card game. Three years, eight translations, and millions of decks later, Magic: The Gathering still captivates players around the world. Born of the desire to "fit more variety into a game than could be fit into a box," Magic introduces players to a world of infinite diversity. Every game of Magic uncovers a new card combination or useful strategy, as players duel with custom-built decks assembled form the more than 2000 different cards that make up the Magic universe. The art for the game is similarly diverse; over a hundred illustrators have contributed to the game's stunning and original look.
