This is my eldest Grandson

Paul

This is baby Paul!

Paul was a very good baby, little boy and big boy.

He is one of those multi-talented people, like his Dad.
He is the fastest runner, highest jumper, musically gifted,
artistic and smart!

He is now 13 and his dad admits that he plays
classics on the guitar, better than he did at that age.
I admit that Paul draws better than I did at that age.
We always joked that it was not fair
that most of the talents should be inherited so abundantly,
by one particular person.
But - that is life!

Paul is lucky at fishing too.
He is always the first to catch one,
and often catches the biggest one too!

Paul is still as loveable, gentle and kind as he has always been.

Gentleness and Love

"Thomas Aquinas, who knew a great deal about gentleness,
once said that when you want to convert someone to your view,
go over to them, take them by the hand and guide them.
You don't stand at a distance and shout at them;
You don't call them names or demand that they come to where you are.
You must start from where they are.
That's the best way, he assures us, to get them to rethink their viewpoint and perhaps change their position.

While it is true that most people respect strength,
they don't always associate it with gentleness.
But it is always from strenght that gentleness arises.
It is always from strenght that we learn not to condemn weakness or fear or anger.

Strength encourages us to empathize,
to be more adaptable and make allowances.
If we really wish to bring someone into our hearts and minds,
a little gentleness is a powerful attraction."

Leo Buscaglia

Do not use a hatchet to
remove a fly from your friend's forehead.

A CHINESE PROVERB

Paul - you are the Greatest!
I love you very much.
