We are a small volunteer fire department in western Fremont County, Colorado and a member of the Deer Mountain Fire Protection District. The fire district contains three different fire stations (Deer Mountain Station 1, Coaldale Station 2 and Cotopaxi Station 3) We have Emergency Medical Technicians as members within the district and we do Emergency Medical Services as well as fire response and various rescue operations. The district does operate with a very small budget so we do appreciate donations of older equipment, etc. from larger stations looking for places to donate items. We just acquired extrication equipment from a Dept. in Kansas thanks to Roger Bell. Every little bit helps. This page is still under construction so check back for more pictures...the snow covered mountains you see in the picture above are the Sangre De Christo mountains.
