I live in Wuhan,China. Welcome to Wuhan! Welcome to

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei (Hupei) province and the major industrial, cultural, and
transportation center of central China, at the confluence of the Chang Jiang (Yangtze) and
Han rivers. With a population of 7,000,000 , Wuhan is the largest municipality in central
China. Three separate towns--Wuchang , Hanyang , and Hankou (Hankow)--were incorporated
into the one municipal unit of Wuhan in 1950. Wuhan has one of China's most important iron
and steel works. Located in an extensive fertile lowland where the Beijing-Guangzhou
(Peking-Canton) Railway crosses the Chang Jiang, Wuhan serves as an agricultural
distribution center. Other major industries include food processing, shipbuilding, and
machinery, textile, railroad rolling stock, and chemical manufacturing.

Who is Teresa Teng? The
best woman singer China has ever had in the past few decades and probably forever. She was
born in the early 50s and became very famous in the middle 70s and 80s. Her major charm
lied in her sweet voice and infectious performance. That is, you cannot name any other
singers who made him/herself so deeply involved in the song or the story presented. When
asked for the secret of her popularity, "I have no secret means, but I guess whatever
one is doing - though I'm a singer now, when I'm singing a song, I'll express all my
emotions, all my feelings with my voice," she said, "All the feelings deep in my
heart, whatever it's happiness, loniness or bitterness, which I'll just express with my
songs." ( - on her performance at China Stadium, Taipei, 1984[?]). Her life ended in
a sudden suffering of asthma, as publicly reported, on May 8, 1995, at Chiang Mai,
Thailand.
