Work
Information
After doing professional projects in
computing since 1986, in 1997 I served at Center of Computer
Science and Faculty of Computer Science, University of
Indonesia for 2 years as an associate lecturer, researcher
and consultant.
Since July 1999, I am
receiving a scholarship from the Singaporean government to do
a research leading to a MSc degree in the School of
Computing, National University of Singapore. My research
topic is about electronic payment systems and financial
cryptography..
I was also active in
"Digital Security & E-Commerce" (DSEC) of
Center of Computer Science, University of Indonesia, as I
managed the DSEC research group in 1998-1999. Currently, the
research group had transformed itself into a strart-up
company P.T. Electronic Commerce Indonesia
Saranacipta, within
University of Indonesia's business incubator.

My research interest area
includes:
- Cryptography: the art
of hiding and communicating securely over the Net
- Electronic commerce
with specialized focus on financial
cryptography
and electronic payment systems (ie. I'm interested in
digital money,
my research topic since 1995)
- Cyber economy, digital
economy, Internet economy
- Legal aspects of
information technology. I've been working intensively
with my colleagues from School of Law since 1998.

Personal
Interest
A side from my ordinary day with computers,
I love:
- Dancing in rock 'n roll, with 4 kg
weights on each of the arm which keep moving for
about 45 minutes.
- Music: rock (YES, I love rock 'n
roll!), soft love songs (adult contemporaries), and
classical music. I played piano a little myself.
- Looking at something which has
innocent look, cute and decent such as
cats&hellip and my girl friend.
- Cooking, especially Chinese cooking.
By the way, I'm the chef in our apartment.
- Collecting words of wisdoms
- I also collect code of arms (crest),
mostly from European countries. I have nearly 200 of
them. You can see on the right, my code of arms.
