HYDROPONIC USES:
The indoor benefits are: Indoors, you can grow medium to high moisture, low light type plants directly in the gel. You can also mix the gel with the soil of other lower moisture plants to help maintain soil moisture, thus longer times in between watering. No more nasty potting soil spills on the carpet (when you use the gel by itself for medium to high moisture, low light plants). Longer intervals between watering. Decorative planters to enhance the interior décor. Healthier, better looking plants. And using the gel by our recommendations with distilled water: no more smells, gnats, pets bothering the potting soil, and no allergy or toxic problems as with soils!
The outdoor benefits are: Longer intervals between watering. Stable plant water supply. Working and aerating of the soil by the dehydrating/rehydrating of the gel. Stable water/growth environment for all your outdoor potted plants, flower beds, gardens, trees, and lawns. Stored water for drought periods. Much higher water holding capability for your soil, no matter what type of soil you have. Long lasting results from just one application (test plots have shown documented results of 6-10 years). Higher yield, better growth and plant development, stronger and healthier plants. Better utilization of expensive fertilizers and other water-soluble additives. Better germination by increasing water storage and decreasing compaction.
Pearlite, although a great additive to soil for many reasons, it does not give anywhere near the water holding capability to the soil that Aquatic Cyber Krystals does. Also, the capability that you get with it is down graded because the water that it helps to trap in the soil is still affected by the soil itself. The substances around the trapped water can absorb it, and the water can evaporate before the plants have a chance to use it. Aquatic Cyber Krystals will hold the water in until the plants need it and then give it to the plants as fast or as slow as the plants need to use it.
Peat moss can add to a soil certain things to help plants in their environment, but it can not add the water capacity that Aquatic Cyber Krystals can.
Other fillers/non-compaction aids such as: rocks and gravel, tree bark, newspaper, saw dust, and many more. These all have certain help factors when you compare their use to soil that do not have them, but when it comes to water retention, capture of water dissolvable additives, and water availability to the plant, they can not stack up to Aquatic Cyber Krystals.
Nothing in the area of water retention and the availability of the captured water to the plants can compare to the absorbing polymers such as Aquatic Cyber Krystals.
