~Lions~

welcome lion

Lions of Africa live in groups galled prides. They live together all of their lives except for the male cubs who may take over other prides.

Lions live in the grassy plains where herds of large animals roam. They hunt together to kill a large wildebeest or zebra.

A lion's roar serves mant purposes: it is a welcome to others in its pride, a call or a command to come, or a warning to other prides to keep away.

Newborn cubs have spotted, thick fur. Their eyes open after two or three days. They must stay hidden in the grasses until they are strong enough to keep up with the rest of the pride.
