Land's Sake seeks to serve the needs of students and the environmental and outdoor education
community. Our goal is to encourage environmental awareness through meaningful outdoor experiences.
Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains in
Cullowhee, NC, we are located only 4 miles from Western Carolina University which offers a variety of resources, and less than an hour from whitewater rafting, the Cherokee Indian Reservation, Dillsboro (for shopping and antiques), and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Near the Roy Taylor State Forest, Land's Sake is the ideal spot for a remote camping expedition after a day of exploring the trails by horseback, mountain bike, or ATV.

At present we are offering the opportunity to study and interact with mountain ecosystems. Land's Sake is also available for private and small group retreats, workshops, and camping outings.
