HAU KOLA

Well it has been forever since I last updated this site. I am now in school studying Computer Information Systems so I have pulled the time quite thin! I am updating the photo page so you can see our team as they participated in the Denver's St. Patrick's Day Parade (the second largest in the United States!) The Dancer's Gallery is still a great place to see outfits of individual dancers who I feel have exceptional regalia and have asked to honor my page with thier images. These photos were taken at Pow Wows in Colorado and Wyoming. At this year's March Pow Wow I concentrated on Men's Traditional (of course), Grass Dance and Women's Fancy Shawl, I hope you enjoy the photos and that they might be of use for research for you outfits. Please remember that these photos are for ideas only. Never copy the regalia of another dancer as some of the patterns are passed down for generations.

PLEASE sign the guestbook and let me know what you think.
If you have any questions or suggestion PLEASE let me know as I want to make this as informative as possible.

I am a Northern Traditional Dancer and the photo at the bottom of this page is me. I have been dancing since I was quite young and I have been to many Pow Wows in the Colorado area.  I also dance, and help advise, a Boy Scout Explorer Post in Denver, Colorado (Post 224). We call ourselves "The Raven Dancers" and we preform for area Scouting, Civic and Educational groups. The Raven Dancers study and demonstrate the dance, outfitting and culture of the Native American peoples. We are based in Colorado, primarily in the Denver Metropolitan Area. The Ravens welcome people of all ages and ethnic origins. Our performances include a number of story dances, tales and pow-wow style dancing. Our Group regularly participates in local pow-wows. One of our dancers placed seventh in Young Men's Traditional competition at Denver March Pow*Wow in 1994.

Many of our members are of Native American descent, and are proud to share thier  heritage.
