The Sacramento Rose Society is a non-profit affiliate of The American Rose Society and the Sacramento Garden and Arts Center. It was founded on June 27, 1940. The goals of the Society are to encourage and educate the public in growing and showing roses.
The Sacramento Rose Society meets the second Thursday of each month, except July and August at 7:30 P.M. at the Shepard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95816. Meetings include a short business meeting, cultural tips from the Society's Consulting Rosarians, exhibition tips through a monthly Little Rose Show and interesting programs on rose culture by knowledgeable speakers. Refreshments are served by members of the Society at every meeting. See the Schedule of Rose Activities and Events for more details.

Crazy Dottie, a single petaled rose named after one of our long time members, Dottie Michelis. It is a very colorful rose in our Sacramento area rose gardens.
