Current Projects

Well I moved from IL to California for graduate school.  I'm finishing my first year at CSU, Bakersfield in the English literature MA program.  I am currently working as a TA in the composition field and also as a research assistant.  After I graduate, my plans are to enter a Medieval Literature and Language PhD program (hopefully Berkeley).  In other news, Brian (fiance') and I are doing very well and living together with our kitty, Baby.

Biographical Information

Born on August 7, 1981 at 9:27 p.m. Raised in a small town in central Illinois.  I've lived in the NW burbs of Chicago and more recently, moved to CA.

I started writing poetry at a fairly young age and wrote my first novella at age 17.  Since then, I have delved not only into poetry and fiction, but also song lyrics, creative nonfiction, essays, and short screenplays (think IFC's 10-15 min shorts).

Personal Interests

I love music, movies, writing, reading, being outdoors, watching hockey, dancing, going out, being outside, hanging with friends, meditating, and meeting interesting, creative, ecentric people.
