I'm very glad that you made it this far . . .
and I hope that you'll stick around long enough to get to know just a little
bit more about me and my life.
After all, these days, acquaintances that begin in cyberspace are
often the most real, vivid, and long-lasting - and maybe that will be true
of us.
My Background
I was born in Jabalpur, a city in central India.
I did my schooling, and first degree (in Civil Engineering)
in Jabalpur.
Then I went to Indian
Institute of Technology, Bombay to do
MTech in Environmental Science and Engineering.
I did my doctoral thesis at the University
of Nottingham, UK on
'Modelling the emission and dispersion of air pollution from
motor vehicles'.
I have worked in a number of organisations and research institutes, both
in India and in the UK. Currently, I am employed at
the Environment Centre of the
University of Leeds, UK.
Here, I am working on sustainable development of cities under
Quantifiable Cities project of
the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
of UK.
And, before we go any further, just in case (not that I'm looking to get
hired,
but - just in case you ARE my big break), here's my resume.
My Interests
I guess that the best - and fastest - way to really get to know me is by
discovering what I like.
So here goes . . .
I love Cricket, Football, Tennis
and Chess.
I'm an avid reader.
I adore movies - made in both the Hollywood and the Bollywood!
