2 lbs ground chuck (or hamburger meat)
Heinz 57 sauce
two unbaked pie shells (can be deep dish)
2 cans mixed vegetables (can substitute frozen)
16 oz grated cheddar cheese (can substitute American slices)
6 cups mashed potatoes (make according to box directions)
paprika to garnish
Brown and drain ground chuck. Add small bottle of Heinz or any
tomato based steak sauce for seasoning. Stir well and spoon
equally into pie shells. Add one can of drained mixed
vegetables to each pie and distribute evenly. Spread 8 oz
grated (or sliced) cheese evenly on each pie. Top with
potatoes, like meringue. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake in 350
degree oven for 30-45 minutes. Simple, fast, delicious full-
course meal which is actually even better the second day, out of
the fridge, sliced then reheated in the microwave oven til hot!
Makes two pies.
