Sara - April 2008 |
We took a nice, short walk in Avalon Park, a nature preserve in Stony Brook. It's a peaceful wooded area with marked trails set for different walks you can take, from short to long. If you know the Grist Mill in Old Stony Brook, you can easily find the entrance to Avalon across the street from the mill. (Click her picture for a bigger shot) |

These three beautiful people are 3/4 of my sweet grandchildren. Acacia, the fourth, (not like Acacia IV, but the fourth grandchild) is, obviously, not in the picture. I'll fix that soon. (Click their picture for a bigger shot) |

When we were in England last year (see below), we took a 3 hour train ride to Weymouth, Dorset on the southern coast. this picture is one of Sara listening to music on the train. (Click...) |
This is Sara with her very talented musician friend, Nick Capaldi of the band "EmphaSiS". We got to hear him and the band play in his home town, Weymouth, Dorset, England, at The George Inn, on September 2, 2006. It was a great show and we all had a great time! I can't believe how long it's been I took these pictures. Before she moved back up, Sara was up on Long Island for Christmas 2003 and we had a blast. For Christmas she got a new 17'' LCD monitor for her computer and a bunch of other great presents. |

Two years ago at Christmastime (2002) we had the fantastic opportunity to take a train trip into New York City with Sara's sisters, one of their friends, Heather, and Glen and Greg, two of their cousins. Click on the small picture below for a bigger version. We had a wonderful time and saw some very cool stuff. |

Sara is now in the eighth grade. She's doing good in school and continues to do even better!

This is a picture Sara took of her sisters Michelle and Tania on our trip to Disney's MGM Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Florida in September of 2002.
Sara's class trip in fifth grade was to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Boy, does that seem like a long, long time ago. I flew down from Long Island to go with her and we had a great time. We were planning on staying at the park after her class returned to Jacksonville, but it POURED rain and we decided to head back to Jacksonville.

Sara and I went to the zoo in Jacksonville, Florida together a couple of years ago and had a great time! No, that is NOT a picture of Sara sitting on my back!
The picture of the two of us with the parrot is from a trip I took down to Florida to see my honey.
Sitting on Sara's lap is her one of her favorite stuffed animals, "Ottie" the otter.
Sara is going into seventh grade in August 2003. We spent a large part of the summer together during her vacation, but it's never enough. We saw "Pirates of the Caribbean" together and loved it! We went to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey too.
I (Alan) am Sara's Dad and a librarian from Long Island, New York. Sara lives with her mother in Florida for most of the year, so I miss my little honey a LOT, but I visit her as much as I can. I work in a large, active library in Holbrook, here's a link to Daddy's Work. If you stop in at the library and ask for me I'll be sure to give you a tour.
