Long Narrow Road
A long narrow road with no end in sight.
The longer i travelled it seemed to get more tight.
Through the years and years that went by,
I often tried to run and hide.
But with the tight roads
There was no where to go.
I was there for all the world to see
But no one heard my pleas.
I keep waiting for a turn in the road,
Wondering if i could find some warmth instead of cold.
20 years old and no where to run.
Nothing following me, but I'm under the gun.
I find a little shelter inside myself
But it only feels more like hell.
I keep waiting for a turn in the road
So I can have somewhere to go

A GENTLE HEALING RAIN
With skies of blue high above.
As beautiful as doves people shared their love.
The bench I was on was half empty.
I sat alone with time being plenty.
My mind was here and there.
With thoughts of joy but not much care.
I was trying to hide the pain in my soul.
Today I was sitting all alone.
Sunny skies have long since past.
From the park all the people have left.
Up above the skies were grey.
On my face I could feel a gentle healing rain.
