The Oracle Web Ring

The Oracle Web Ring

I will not be able to respond to ring site submissions until December. Please either wait on submitting a site to the ring until that time, or submit it and keep in mind that I won't be able to add you in until winter.

Just what is this 'Oracle Web Ring' thing all about?

The Oracle Ring, like the Oracle 'zine, is for sites that focus on the arts, especially (but not exclusively) ones that are dedicated to art, poetry and satire. Contributors to Oracle Quarterly are especially encouraged to join.

If you are already in the ring and want to edit your site information, click here.

What kind of hoops do I have to jump through to join?

Not too many, just the usual ones. You will have to:
  1. Save the ring graphics.
  2. Fill out the form.
  3. Copy the ring code from the confirmation page or this page.
  4. If you copy it from this page, put your mail address, name & site id in the appropriate places in the code.
  5. Put the code into the page whose URL you submitted.
  6. Upload the graphics to your site.
  7. Wait for confirmation!

Step one - save the graphics:

Save both these graphics to disk or your hard drive so you can upload them to your site. (Right click on each graphic to get the "save image" option.)

Step two - the form:

Submit site to the Oracle ring:
Owner's Name:
Site Title:
Site URL:
E-mail:

Password:
Please choose a password. (Don't forget it!!)

Step four - Add your site information:

If you copy the code provided on your confirmation page your information will already be included. If you copy it from this page you will need to fill in the blanks yourself. For example, where it says _SITE_OWNER'S_EMAIL_ADDRESS_ erase the generic all caps text and put in your email address. (Don't forget to add your site id in ALL of the places needed!)

Step five - add the stuff to your site!

Make sure you add the code to the URL you submitted to the ring!
After that, you're done. Just wait for a confirmation saying you've been officially added. Please note: Sites that are aimed at insulting any group/race/gender and pornographic sites will not be admitted to the ring.

Thanks and welcome!
