Welcome to Noble Armory Home Page!

What in the world is an Armory doing on the Left Bank?

The Noble Armory has nothing to do with guns or bombs. Howard Noble makes suits of armor. He also makes helmets, knives; even jewelry. Howard's shop is capable of reproducing just about anything medevial folk made out of metal.

Howard is a true craftsman, and his work is top rate. So authentic are his reproductions, that they appear in movies, as well as in museam collections.

As wonderful as the reproductions are, Howard's original creations are his best. Howard is very involved with the Renaissance festivals, (as this is written, he is in Chicago at a Fair, unaware a Web Page is being made for him!) and is often brought designs for intricate custom work.

As if producing museam quality work, designing and making custom armor and period metelwork and working with the Renaissanace festivals isn't enough, he is also involved with a large historical recreation group, and has had the honor of being their King!

So while Howard is an armorer, his craft, and his life, involve much more than combat. To be sure, he can tell you in great detail, and show you as well, how to make swords, knifes and armor. He can also tell you, and will if given half a chance, every facet of medevial life. He knows the technology of the time, the politics and the daily lifestyle of its inhabitants.

Howard has other intrests, as well, that I haven't even touched on. But someone in a much more qualified than I is going to offer some material for these pages, so I'll leave that to her.

Welcome!
