RENAISSANCE 2001 is a project to create a global Internet Art Festival for the year 2001. Artists who believe that art can be a positive evolutionary force have started to build a worldwide network of LIGHTHOMES across the Internet. These pages will point to a future path for art in the new electronic era, and act as a forum in which RENAISSANCE 2001 will be developed. New members and collaborators in every country are sought.

"ABSTRACT REFLECTIONS"


There was once
a kind of vibrant location
within a sphere.
It changed
as that globe did turn,
though not its depth
nor place of being,
only its pitch, its angle maybe...
like paint
upon palette, the brush
dipping deeply within, the paint
finds its way
onto paper, though
in joining
with water, its pureness
seems maybe to be tainted, until
it dries, bonding
with that paper
as surely as if
it had been there
all along.
Pure light hitting it,
sparkling,
sets it free for all eyes to see.
The location of the vibration
in truth then
lies within
the eye
of the beholder, where
its pitch can surely be felt,
just as
the angle of its reflection
is caught upon dust motes
dancing in the light
as it finds its new home.
Any light it gains, it shares.
