EMRE AKASLAN

TO THE MEMORY of One Wonderful Brother...
Died in a traffic accident in France-Bordeaux, on Oct. 17th, Saturday, 1998...

You are my doubting
And the lightpoints
in my eyes

You are every image, and yet
I'm homesick for you

Emre Akaslan, my only brother, had been in France for 2 years, studying... He would be coming at the end of October to visit us.. However, God decided to take him on October 17th, Saturday, 1998. Emre and his friends, Mehmet Poran and Abdullah were in the car Mehmet was driving when they crashed into a tree because of the pouring rain... My brother and Mehmet died there. Pray for them and others like them, whatever your religion is. EMRE, I MISS YOU DEEPLY... I LOVE YOU.

Your sister

Kardeşim Emre'yi Ekim 17, Cumartesi gunu Bordeaux'da bir trafik kazasında kaybettik. Arabayı kullanan Mehmet'de onunla gitti. Fransa'dan Ekim sonu İstanbul'a gelecekti. Fransa'da ögrenciydi Emre.... Sadece 22 yasindaydi, Ve harika bir insandi... Benim canimdi.
Ne olur onlar icin dua edin. Yalnız kalmayacaklarını bilsinler. Tesekkurler.

A song for him: Tears in Heaven

Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven?

Would it be the same if I saw you in heaven?

I must be strong and carry on.

'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven.

Would you hold my hand if I saw you in heaven?

Would you help me stand if I saw you in heaven?

I'll find my way through night and day

'Cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven.

Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees.

Time can break your heart, have you beggin' please beggin' please.

Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure

And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven.

Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven?

Would you feel the same if I saw you in heaven?

I must be strong and carry on 'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven.
