We are people who are very oriented to
music and computers. We also love photography and want to share
some of our life and interests with you.
We are also people
who love to live in the country and have a five acre place in Gallman,
MS with a bream and bass pond (Ann beat Aubrey with fishing---caught a
7 1/2 pound large mouth bass). We also have a horse and cat.
The cat is a beautiful gentleman
we rescued from the animal shelter 7 years ago named Kelly. He is well
aware that he is in total control of all he surveys.
We also have a 5 piece Western Swing Band we are very proud of and want to
share some of our music and photos with you. We have some recordings out that
are doing quite well. To our knowledge, we are the only Western Swing Band
in this vicinity. All these men are senior citizens (except the drummer, who is 41)
and have been professional musicians all their adult lives...Aubrey Roberts, the bandleader plays piano
with this group, but also plays good rhythm guitar and fair fiddle, and played drums 30 years with a big band sound.
He started on the radio in Jackson, MS during the radio era of the 40's and had
three radio shows of his own in the same period of time. Jimmy (Stonewall) Jackson has been in music all his life
and plays steel with us. John Worrell plays lead guitar and fills in with rhythm when necessary and has also played
everywhere you can imagine.
James Carlisle is the youngest member of the band and plays great drums and has played everywhere also.
with many groups as has Charlie Watts, who plays bass with us. Aubrey & John
are excellent vocalists and perform in that category also.
The members range in age from James (41) Jimmy (68) John (60's) Charlie (80's) and Aubrey (73). I think you will enjoy our music, so click on some of the
links to it and give us a listen.
