In 1994 my wife and I went to the vintage motorcross and I decided I wasgoing to get into that big time, so I bought in pieces an XL250.Turned out I'd been taken, but I found the one you see here behind the local mechanic's and used parts from the other to fix it. I sold it and bought a CR480 and got ripped of even worse as it had a chipped crank and was never going to run. Luckily I sold that(I rode it later, it was awesome)and bought this DT400 it was a beauty.
The GT200 came into the bike wreckers in not too bad a condition on consignment for a thousand dollars. Way to much for me too afford.Lucky, because the motor seized soon after. I got it for $220 and spent $900 on parts doing the rebuild.(I hadn't counted on a big end bearing needing replacement,but i'd already spent so much I couldn't abandon it).The DT was sold to pay the first years rego.
The GT was recently sold to make way for a Kwaka EL250.I was going to get something bigger, but I 've only got the 250 licence, and I'm getting older and more sensible now. It was traded on the BMW. The last bike here is the CZ 175 that sat under my father in laws house for ten years.It took me five years to get it off him,and 20mins to get it started. It was recently swapped for a boat
And definately do not ride a cruiser with a screwdriver in your back pocket. Tends to go through the seat.
