Product Design Engineer at Larsen & Toubro Ltd.Mumbai,

in the Product Group (GrII UE. Design) (Aug. 1997 - July 1998).

Responsibilities

Fundamental design of machine elements for drive systems and analysis of the

components for manufacture and failure. I was also responsible for vendor interaction and support.

The machine elements designed were of a critical nature, and were employed in defense and aerospace applications.

UNDERGRAD UNIVERSITY PROJECT

Performed at the Reactor Safety Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), Trombay

Duration: 6 months (Dec.1996-May1997)

The project employed FEM for dynamic and stress analysis . The principal objective of the project was to identify the regions of maximum stress concentration in the blade structure. At the same time the project also aimed at testing the blade for vibration under the various operational conditions, ie. at turbine stationary condition, and secondly when the turbine rotated at full operational speed of 3000 rpm.
