This is the first car ever designed and built by me. It was made with 1972 Cadillac components,472cid engine,Turbo400 automatic transmission, and Cadillac drive axles. It has a custom radiator, modified Cadillac frame and suspension, and of course a custom hand-built all-steel body. The whole body was built out of 18gauge sheetmetal. The doors, windshield, and convertible top were 1973MG Midget. (I nolonger use any Midget components, as they are hard to find and usually in very bad shape.)

This is my first 4x4 van conversion. It was a 1977Dodge short-box. I used Chevrolet components including motor, transmission, transfer-case, and axles. The motor was surprisingly simple to install and the wiring easy to adapt. As for the suspension, I had to beef-up the front of the frame to be able to attach a leaf-spring system. The leaf-spring suspension allowed me to use standard attachment and steering system out of a pick-up truck. The whole thing had to be inspected by a government inspector, and it passed with flying colours. Since then, I have done numerous conversions for other people, on various vans. Some of which were coil spring systems, and some were leaf-spring. Currently, I am designing an air-bag suspension for my own 1987 Chevrolet G30 van.
