Notice that outrageous hood. This is a after market hood, probably an Ecklers. | ||||||||||||||||||||
The white spot is the bare glass that has been exposed after the nose hit something. The glass did not crack but the paint did. Given that this car has three layers of paint, not to mention primer, this is understandable. | ||||||||||||||||||||

'It 2004 and I have not done much with the car since I got the frame back together, which was ages ago....I think in early '99. I did purchase a 2002 Corvette Engine, that came off the end of year production line, that I will use rather than the old clunky original. I will keep the original engine.
3/11/06 update - I have been working on it again. I have been fabricated parts to adapt the LS1 to fit without altering the frame or body. I also purchased a Tremec TKO 5speed trans and I replaced the 4.11:1 rear end with a 3.08:1. The tremec combined with the 3.08:1 still gives a low first gear but also provides an overdrive gear for freeway driving. I'm also upgrading the steering with a new gear box that has a built in power steering control valve. This box basically provides the benefits of Rack & Pinion.
