Tim Richmond was an outstanding racer if it had wheels on it he would drive it and drive it fast unfortunatley he lost his life tragically to aids. Without a doubt he would have been a NASCAR all time great with his looks and style he would have brought NASCAR forward even sooner than the explosion that is currently under way. We are trying to have a 1998 Poconos race dedicated to his memory listed below are several key people we wish you to contact and request that they do anything possible to achieve the goal of dedicating a 1998 Poconos in his memory ( If you would like to help feel free to email and I will provide you with a list of address and an example letter to go by) I AM VERY SORRY THAT OUR ATTEMPTS TO DEDICATE A RACE TO TIM MEMORY HAVE THUS FAILED THOSE OF US WHO KNOW OF HIM AND HIS GREATNESS CAN ONLY SEE THE FLASHES OF HIS ABILITIES IN THE YOUNG AND UP START DRIVERS THE DALE EARNHARDT JR, CASEY ATWOODS, GREEN BROTHERS FROM KENTUCKY, JASON JARRETTS, AND MANY OTHERS WHO SEEM TO COME FROM EVERY WHERE TO BE A LEDGEND A NASCAR GREAT.
TIM WAS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE 50 GREAT NASCAR DRIVERS OF ALL TIME MAYBE THIS WILL OPEN THE DOORS THAT HAVE BEEN SHUT TO HIS NAME FOR NEARLY TEN YEARS MAY YOU REST IN PEACE IN THAT WINNER CIRCLE IN THE SKY WITH THE OTHER DRIVER WHO LEFT FAR TO EARLY DAVEY, CLIFFORD, ALAN, AND NEIL.
