It was another terrific weekend with 818 Corvettes registered. The new
location at the Great Passion Play worked out extremely well. Dean and Linda
Christian and their 30+ KCCA helpers did a fantastic job hosting the enormous car

METCALF SOUTH CHEVY RALLY

After several years of rainy days, this event finally caught a break and got a
beautiful sunny day. That resulted in a great turnout of 265 fantatastic Chevrolets.
The freshly paved mall parking lot was stuffed with a wide variety of very high
quality Chevys, Chevelles, Novas, Camaros, Corvairs, Chevy Trucks and over 40 Corvettes.
Special thanks to Ian and Lana McPherson who've chaired this event on behalf of the
KCCA for more years than most of us have been members.

Beautiful day, great spectator turnout, 130 gorgeous

This year's Don England Memorial Award, presented at Vettes at the Village, goes to Dana Forrester. This
trophy is awarded annually for outstanding contribution to the Corvette community in the
Kansas City area.
Besides his heavy involvement in Corvette events nationwide as part of his watercolor profession, Dana is very active in local events, has been president of the local NCRS chapter 4 of the past 5 years and spreads his enthusiasm for the Corvette hobby everywhere he goes.
